Street survival and quick thinking go hand in hand to keep a traveler confident and protected, especially in a city like Mumbai where most office going women and school going children travel by heavily crowded public transport or late at night. No weapons are needed to understand how to escape a sticky situation if you are confident and able to use basic techniques to get through and get away.

Sensei Kaivan hosts a 2-hour Self-Defense and Street Survival Course that does the following:

  • Understanding self-defense
  • Awareness of your surroundings
  • Practical self defense
  • How get out of multiple types of grips using Killer points: Bringing an attacker down with just a few pressure techniques
  • Disarming an opponent who is wielding a weapon
  • How to use pen, dupatta, nails etc. as weapons to defend ones-self
  • Using presence of mind to create an aura that no attacker will mess with
  • Counter attack techniques
  • A few strength building exercises
  • Demonstrations on what could happen in the event of an attack
  • Other tips: A set of apps, contacts and other information to help

The Programme is designed to not only teach techniques but to initiate the learner into a space of awareness and all-around self-confidence. It is truly an essential for women and children.

The Programme is best conducted with core groups of 100 and less. We do however train larger corporates in batches. A set of qualified instructors from KGI along with Sensei Kaivan impart this training course.
